Scripture: Then I shall not be ashamed when I look upon all Thy commandments (Psalm 119:6).
Today’ s Thought: Every business runs the risk of embarrassing itself with its customers, whether it’s by being caught with incorrect scanner pricing, failing to honor a warranty, having to recall a faulty product, or otherwise shortchanging the public.
The best protection against embarrassment and shame is to conduct your business with the utmost integrity and deal with problems quickly when they come up. Keep everything above board. In evaluating your policies and procedures, ask yourself, “If our customers could see everything we’re doing, would they be pleased?” If not, you have some important work to do.
If you handle every job and serve every customer with diligence and honesty, you will never need to worry that “the truth” may someday come to light.
Differing weights are an abomination to the LORD, and a false scale is not good (Proverbs 20:23).
The best protection against embarrassment and shame is to conduct your business with the utmost integrity.
