Scripture: For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you (Titus 1:5).
Today’s Thought: When the apostle Paul established churches in Asia Minor, he delegated responsibility for overseeing those new congregations to some of his trusted colleagues, such as Titus, so that he could move on to the next city and continue his church planting ministry. Even then, he knew that Titus himself could not successfully run every church in the area, so he encouraged him to delegate the responsibility further to a set of elders.
As your business grows and large projects or new ventures come along, build a team of trusted subordinates who can take on increasing responsibilities, and then delegate the authority to them to get the job done. As you equip and empower your employees, you will multiply your own effectiveness and reach your goals more quickly.
Does not wisdom call, and understanding lift up her voice? (Proverbs 8:1).
Build a team of trusted subordinates who can take on increasing responsibilities and then delegate the authority to them to get the job done.
