Do you follow through on your commitments or are you an empty talker?

Scripture: There are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers (Titus 1:10)

Today’s Thought: We’ve all heard the old saying that “talk is cheap,” and nowhere is that more true than at work. It’s easy to boast about what we plan to do, but accomplishing key results is another thing altogether. Unfortunately, empty promises will quickly shatter your credibility with your customers and your boss, and others will soon lose confidence in your ability to get the job done.

Let your good work speak for you. Focus your energy on producing results, and you’ll never have to blow your own horn. Support your company’s mission and vision, always keep your commitments, and deal honestly with coworkers and customers. As you establish a reputation for reliability, your boss will take notice and entrust you with even greater responsibility.

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth (Proverbs 27:1).
