Do you hire only employees who are just like you?

Scripture: For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another (Romans 12:4-5).
Today’s Thought: To be truly effective a business requires a diversity of gifted individuals. Even though you might be more comfortable around people with similar personalities, gifts, and interests, if you hire only people who are just like you, your business will become unbalanced.
As you evaluate your company’s needs, look for stiffnesses, even though they might be weak in your areas of strength. For example, if you are a visionary who likes to explore ideas and concepts, hire someone who loves to follow up with the details, even though you may not always see eye to eye. Carefully identify the skills and competencies required for each position, then hire individuals who closely fit the bill.
Balance your team by thoughtfully and prayerfully matching up the needed skills with a variety of gifted individuals. Hiring a diverse team of qualified workers will boost productivity and improve your business.
A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power (Proverbs 13:16).
Focus on winning the small battles in order to win the war.
