Scripture: Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance (Titus 2:2).
Today’s Thought: What employer wouldn’t give an arm and a leg for these attributes in a worker? When hiring, consider older, more experienced workers to stabilize a young workforce. McDonalds learned this years ago and specifically recruited retired workers.
Mature staff can coach, mentor, and be an example to younger workers – and make them more productive. You may pay a little more in wages, but you will capture invaluable experience that can directly affect you bottom line.
Remember, Moses was eighty when he was just getting started. Use experience to beef up your profits.
Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).
