Scripture: So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and the majority did not know for what cause they had come together (Acts 19:32).
Today’s Thought: Every business, large or small, needs a mission statement-a written declaration of why the business exists. From the mission statement, you can then derive a corporate vision, which defines what the business will look like in the future as you successfully pursue your mission.
Mission and vision statements provide direction for everyone in the company to define and develop their specific duties and responsibilities. The mission becomes a rallying point to keep everyone focused on the ultimate goal. The vision brings clarity out of confusion, helps your staff stay on track, and keeps everyone working together to serve your customers well.
Put your corporate mission and vision statements in writing, post them prominently in your workplace, and encourage employees to work for their accomplishment every day.
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18).
The mission becomes a rallying point to keep everyone focused on the ultimate goal.
