Do circumstances in your business ever cause you to panic?

Scripture: But you, keep your head in all situations (2 Timothy 4:5 NIV).
Today’s Thought: Calamities in business, such as losing a major customer, may make it seem as though the sky is falling. Panic may be a natural reaction, but it never helps the situation and often makes things worse.
When circumstances take a turn for the worse, sit down, take a few deep breaths , and begin to calmly assess the situation. Identify the problem and the damage caused, and then focus on what you can do.
If it’s an issue of losing a key customer, call the customer and find out what precipitated their decision to leave. Listen carefully and make sure you understand the issues.
Next, determine whether you can take any positive action to retain the customer. Ask if any changes on your part will reverse the customer’s decision. Either way, learn from your mistakes and change any business practises necessary so that other customers will stay.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Panic may be a natural reaction, but it never helps the situation and often makes things worse.
