Scripture: So the craftsman encourages the smelter, and he who smoothes metal with the hammer encourages him who beats the anvil (Isaiah 41:7).
Today’s Thought: The smelter works hard to produce the metal that the craftsman uses in his trade. Usually, however, it’s the craftsman who gets all the praise. But if the smelter isn’t diligent, impurities will be left in the metal, creating weakness that eventually will undermine the craftsman’s work.
In some cases, the end result of our work depends more on others than on our efforts. For example, a waiter cannot serve a good meal if the cook fails to prepare it properly. If we’re wise, we will praise and encourage those who support our success by providing the materials and supplies we use to do our jobs. Show a genuine interest in your suppliers’ work and express your appreciation for the quality of their efforts. If you do, the work they send you will continue to be first-rate.
Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; and I was daily His delight (Proverbs 8:30).

Praise and encourage those who support our success by providing the materials and supplies we use to do our jobs.
