Scripture: And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you (Luke 11:9).
Today’s Thought: An insurance man who was a golfing partner of Henry Ford became upset when he heard that Ford had purchased life insurance from another agent. When he asked him why, Ford replied, “You never asked me.”
Often we assume that our customers know everything we have to offer, and
that they’ll ask if they need one of our other products or services. But most sales are
completed only after we take the initiative to ask for the order.
Get to know your customer’s business. Anticipate how you might expand your
service to meet their other needs. When you call on your customers, don’t just talk about the business at hand, explain your other offerings and ask for additional business. Look for new opportunities with your existing customers and watch your sales soar.
Two things I asked of Thee, do not refuse me before I die (Proverbs 30:7).
Often we assume that our customers know everything we have to offer.
