Do you know when to take action and move on?

Scripture: The LORD our God spoke to us at Horeb, saying, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Turn and set you journey” (Deuteronomy 1:6-7).

Today’s Thought: It’s easy to become complacent in business, simply doing the same familiar things day after day. But if we’re not careful, before long we can become reluctant to move into new ventures or to undertake new projects. In our rapidly changing global economy, maintaining the status quo is a dangerous mind-set.

In every business there is a time to move on, to try new things, to stir up the creative juices and look for new opportunities. Push forward, create some momentum, and insist that your staff follow suit.

Overcome laziness and your reluctance to change. Don’t wait until tomorrow to accomplish a task – do it now. Don’t let fear of the unknown hold you back. Remember that even though a ship is safest while in harbor, they are built to sail. Set sail with a new idea and see where the winds of change take you. Develop a habit of taking action, and watch your business move steadily forward each day.
