Do you maintain your business property well?

Scripture: If a man is lazy, the rafters sag; if his hands are idle, the house leaks (Ecclesiastes 10:18 NIV).

Today’s Thought: When we’re concentrating on “getting the job done,” little maintenance details will often escape us. Over time, though, these minor oversights can add up to major repairs or other problems. Don’t be so focused on output that you neglect one of your most important business assets your facility.

Commit at least one hour per month to walk around your business with a notebook. Jot down items that need maintenance or repair. Develop a plan for washing the windows, cleaning the carpets, and totally cleaning the bathrooms on a regular basis. Spruce up other parts of the building as the need arises.

A roof doesn’t leak all at once. It usually begins with a few loose shingles worn-out caulking, or problems with the gutters. Regular maintenance will solve these issues early and prevent bigger problems.

Keep an eye on your building, schedule regular maintenance, and make sure the work gets done. Then your rafters won’t sag and your roof won’t leak.

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established (Proverbs 24:3).
