Do you manage your time well each day at work?

Scripture: Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12 NKJV).


Today’s Thought: On the job we face a flood of pressures, tasks, and responsibilities every day. If we don’t manage our priorities and work on first things first, we’ll end up drowning in tasks that are urgent but not necessarily important.


Before you start each day, make a list of key tasks to be accomplished. Review the list and determine if you have time to accomplish everything. Set priorities on your tasks and do the most important ones first. Stay focused, review your list throughout the day, and cross off each item when completed.

Realize that interruptions will happen, so schedule time to answer phone calls and respond to E-mail messages, but don’t let those tasks steal your best time. Develop strategies for minimizing interruptions and distractions. Stick to your key tasks, and your key work will get done.


When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25).




Set priorities on your tasks and do the most important ones first.
