Do you run your business day to day without much thought to planning?

Scripture: “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declare the LORD, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Today’s Thought: The Lord has a plan for each one of us. He doesn’t float from day to day, playing it by ear or making it up as he goes along. He is the God of order, systems, and processes. Of course, we don’t have God’s ability to see the end from the beginning, but if we want to follow his example by establishing and maintaining order in our businesses, we can still look ahead and make plans.

Take one business quarter as a starting point. Establish three meaningful goals that will have a major impact on your business over the next ninety days. Write them down and communicate them to your staff. When everyone can see the goals and direction of you company, morale will improve, and a sense of purpose will be created, even in difficult circumstances.

Follow God’s example, establish your plans, and watch your business improve as your goals are achieved.
