Scripture: Do not neglect your gift (1 Timothy 4:14 NIV).
Today’s Thought: If you have aptitudes and skills that are not currently being put to use in your job, consider how those talents might be beneficial to your employer. If you see possible applications, ask your boss if you can apply your specific abilities, even if they are not directly related to your current responsibilities.
Your manager may be delighted to utilize your talent more effectively, thereby increasing your value to the organization. You may even end up writing your own job description or discovering a new direction for your career and your job is bound to become more satisfying.
If you find that there’s no place to fully utilize your gifts within your present
employment, it may be an indication that you should look for a more suitable job elsewhere.
It is important to find ways to utilize all of your talents for maximum job success.
A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men (Proverbs 18:16).
You may even end up writing your own job description or discovering a new direction for your career.
