When a competitor attacks your business, how do you respond?

Scripture: Draw for yourself water for the siege! Strengthen your fortifications! (Nahum 3:14).
Today’s Thought: When your business comes under attack by an aggressive competitor, circle the wagons around your fundamental strengths and focus on things you can control. For example, are you maintaining effective customer contact? Is product quality being maintained? Are you keeping your commitments to your customers? Are you offering the best possible pricing?
When competition is fierce, nothing will hurt your business more than slipping up on a customer delivery or allowing your pricing to get out of line with the market. Never give your competitors an opportunity of your own making. Many would say the best defense is a good offense, but in reality the best defense is just that a solid, well-managed defense.
Listen to me and do not depart from the words of my mouth. . . . Lest strangers be filled with your strength, and your hard-earned goods go to the house of an alien (Proverbs 5:7, 10).
Never give your competitors an opportunity of your own making.
