When visiting your field offices, do you make good use of your time?

Scripture: I have sent him to you for this very purpose (Ephesians 6:22).

Today’s Thought: Travelling to meet with your staff in other cities is expensive and time-consuming. Plan your time carefully to make the most of your visit. Write an agenda in advance, and provide copies to everyone to allow them time to prepare.

Make your expectations clear, including the results you anticipate and any information you need. Communicate thoroughly any changes in policies and procedures, or important issues that will affect the

field office staff.

If you’re traveling from headquarters, remember that you are an emissary from

“the top.” Allow time to meet with key individuals, to receive feedback, and to keep them

in the loop. Before you leave, make sure that your message was heard and understood,

and will be acted upon.

Plan your visits well and you will make the most of your travel time and budget.

Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him, for be refreshes the soul of his masters (Proverbs 25:13).

If you’re traveling from headquarters, remember that you are an emissary from “the top.”
